I had been thinking about it for a bit and I think i have a decent starting skill set for my Sword and Shield Build

Weapon: Sword and Shield
Reason: Obvious

Armor: Rune Plate
Reason: It offers both defense and resist bonuses, which is useful for being the team's tank,

Starting Element: Earth
Reason: It has two useful channel spells which is Stone Skin and Earth Essence, especially once I get their upgraded forms. I just need to invest in some traits that reduce magic costs for channeling and magic regen to use them both.

Now for the skills:

Puncture
Reason: A basic skill with the ability to reduce an enemy's mitigation, allowing for more damage to flow through.

Intervention
Reason: It grants me a block token to further reduce damage and it has an upgrade to increase my threat, which will go nicely with Intimidate. Speaking of which...

Intimidate
Reason: This gives me a massive threat boost that makes me a more likely target for enemies. It has two upgrades that could boost either my mitigation or threat each turn.  Can't decide which one is better though.

Rampart
Reason: It has a massive cooldown but allows me to gain two block tokens and can act as an emergency heal once upgraded.

Stone Skin
Reason: It gives my defense a further boost and can increase my mitigation by 1 each turn once upgraded. Depending on how I go about with Intimidate, I could get 2% mitigation every turn.

Earth Essence
Reason: Having a passive regen on hand is useful for any kind of tank. I could upgrade it to give me even more health regen or further improve my vitality for better mitigation.

What do you think would make for a good build using the sword and shield?

So I have finally managed to make it to the Richard’s Anchor, but good god it is extremely difficult to get through. I was able to get through Greed and Wrath, but I’m having trouble trying to get through Sloth. With all of those zombies chasing me and those green tiles making it difficult to move, is there any tips on how to get through Sloth?

Oh. I'm guessing it's in the black market cause I can't seem to find it anywhere else.

Thanks for the info, but I am done with this game. Because of the stupid bus mechanic, I ended up losing The Show item. I didn't know those weird weapons could be lost!

Where am I supposed to find ancient gears? Are they just that far in the first area?

Should I try getting my characters killed mainly for the spiritual healing? If so then is there an easy way to do that?

Oh cool... By the way, is there any way to regain the lost level from the manor boss? Kyrise was a few battles away from reaching level 11, but that darn thing set her back to level 9. Its mainly just irritating me to see that not all of my party members are the same level.

So does anyone know how to get into the tower? I was told I had to enter the tower to recruit the cowboy, but I have been unable to get access.

It might help if I knew what effects each personality, virtue, and flaw haves at the start.

I see... Then I should start probably over and rework my characters as I might have gave them poor traits.

Okay i played the game for a little bit, but wow it is very difficult. I can barely go very far in the level 1 area without my party being completely drained from a few fights.

Plus having enough lewdness can allow you to unlock a passive for your Slime that makes it stronger.

This guy here gets it.

Nah.

Well I manage to enjoy this game so far and got through Chapter 1. I won't say anything to spoil it, but man... This is gonna be a mess.

I kind of hope we can get the choice to control John in the final confrontation, a way to give players a chance to somehow at least steer this story to a somewhat happier end.

I always did enjoy lightning magic.

I wonder what kind of magic there would be for Aeromancy and Thermal magic(I can't remember the proper name for it).

This is... Awful! Now I don't mean it as the game being awful, it's still pretty great to play. I meant it more in a moral way.

Dude is probably gonna be knighted by all of them at the end of this adventure.

So a win-win scenario for everybody. Highly unrealistic, but I'm all for it!

I'm honestly not too sure how I feel about turning Lincoln into a homewrecker.

Damn...

I would recommend looking at pure run guide for the game. Helped me out staying in the pure run.

So... What are the odds that we might end up causing Lori and Bobby to break up in chapter 3?

So the corruption ending is gonna be the first achievable ending... Welp too bad I'm never gonna see it cause I can't bring myself to do something like that.

I’m still trying to figure out what secondary type of magic I should learn. My fighting style is effectively switching between skills and spells to increase damage bonus for both physically and magical damage.

I was tempted to take Kovomancy, but most of them require focus to deal full damage and I'm focus on three stats: Dexterity, Agility, and Magic. So Kovomancy isn't an option for me. Although considering the fact that elemental resistance is now a thing in this version, perhaps branching to other types of magic might be the right call.

After a long time, I have finally managed to complete the story. I had decided to go with the magi dagger-can't spell the actual name for my life- with wind magic. The main strategy is to switch between physical and magic attacks to build up damage, while also using channels and traits to drastically increase my initiative and glancing hit chance. Not sure if I should focus on mastering wind magic or branch out to different magic.

I just hope that wherever Enide is right now… I hope she gets her just deserts.

I’m not really sure. I had tried to maintain a balance between physical skills and spells, but it’s rather difficult figuring out the rights one to pick that can work along with the other characters.

I'm starting to wonder if my first build is working out.

I can tell what each character's canon class is, but I wonder if that's the best move to go for.

The only real way to break the curse is to kill the demon that made it to begin with.

In the Nothing But The Truth quest, there is a desk with three drawers that are locked with riddles. Does anyone know what the answers are?

I was honestly about to comment how there should be some available martial arts from the start.
